One of the leading film distribution companies in the country, EAP Films and Theatres Pvt Ltd is to invest on converting its theatre circuit to a digital format. As part of the first phase, 13 cinemas owned by EAP Films will be converted to the digital screening format(2k) equipped for screening 3D movies as well.
Theatres will also be upgraded with state of the art sound systems carrying 6 channels and will undergo a complete refurbishing with new seating, optimizing the viewing pleasure of the audience, presenting them with a joyful movie going  experience.

Family friendly EAP circuit plans to take the modern movie watching experience once a privileged of the country’s capital, to the rural areas of the island giving every citizen an equal opportunity to enjoy a pleasurable viewing experience and focuses specially on releasing and promotion of local films nationwide.
EAP’s progressive transformation to the latest technology of movie presentation will directly benefit the local film producers because the print copies are substituted with a Digital Cinema Package, a.k.a. DCP format, which results in a substantial reduction of cost to producers and provides an enormous relief at the point of movie release.
