The Sri Lanka Economics Association (SLEA) will soon launch its annual journal for 2014, in addition to a publication on its 2013 annual sessions.
Scheduled for September 16, at 5.00 p.m., at the Department of Economics auditorium at the Unviersity of Colombo, the launch will feature a review of the SLEA Journal by Prof. Dr. Sirimal Abeyratne, and a review of the 2013 Annual Sessions by Dr. Saman Kelegama.

Meanwhile, the SLEA Journal itself, titled “The Way Forward for Sustained Growth”, offers up the following scholarly articles: “Knowledge Economy and Economic Growth and Development: A Nexus”, by A.D.V. de S. Indraratna; “The Importance of Indirect Taxation in Developing Countries: A Survey of Literature”, by Kopalapillai Amithalingam; “An Empirical Analysis of Inflation-Growth Nexus in Developing Countries: The Case of Sri Lanka”, by N.S. Cooray; “Reducing Female Poverty through Microfinance: A Study of a Self Help Group Microfinance Project in Sri Lanka”, by S.P. Premaratne and S.M.P.
