JAT Holdings, as part of its ongoing CSR activities, recently donated 1000 and 200 litre plastic containers to the people of the North Central Province for water storage purposes.

“According to Health Minister (Maithripala Sirisena), the people of the North Central Province are undergoing severe hardship as a result of the prevailing drought and though the government is taking all measures to provide people with sufficient water, they lack storage facilities. The Permoglaze plastic containers we are donating will be utilised for water storage,” said Aelian Gunawardene – Managing Director, JAT.

In a media release, the company said this is yet another CSR project in collaboration with the Health Ministry, as they are currently in the process of constructing a Rs 30 million state-of-the-art JAT Training and Simulation Centre to be set up under the auspices of the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SLCOG.).

The containers provided by JAT will be installed in the drought-stricken areas to be shared by the affected villagers .
