The US Embassy in Colombo recently issued an official statement saying that applicants for non-immigrant US visas in Sri Lanka should make their payments through branches of the DFCC Vardhana Bank.

The embassy said it was transitioning to a new online visa process which is designed to be more convenient and user-friendly. After applicants complete their non-immigrant US visa form applications online, they can now deposit their visa fee payments through any local DVB bank branch, according to a media release from the bank. A majority of DVB branches are open six days a week including Saturdays, providing visa applicants with an accessible and convenient payment point.

Speaking of the facility, Achintha Hewanayake, Chief Technical and Service Officer, DFCC Vardhana Bank said: “DVB is fully geared to accept non-immigrant US visa payments. Anyone wishing to make such a payment would be able complete the transaction in a matter of minutes by visiting any of our DVB branches.”
