With a graceful wave the top 15 contestants for the prestigious Miss Universe China title bid farewell to Habarana. Arriving in Sri Lanka on Tuesday, August 26 the first leg of the tour organised by Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts and Sri Lankan Airlines had been in Habarana where they had spent three eventful days.

En route to Beruwala, their next destination on their Sri Lankan tour, they visited the children of the Orphanage under the Mother Sri Lanka project in Kalutara and spent an entire afternoon talking, eating and dancing with the children. They taught them to dance, and were in turn taught some cricket basics. The Miss Universe China Foundation made a generous donation of a three wheeler to the Orphanage which is the brainchild of the First Lady.

The beaches were just as magical as they imagined, but it was back to work after reaching Beruwala. With Access Engineering PLC stepping on board with Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts, they were determined to make a splash at Saturday’s fashion show, WAVE. The top 15 graced the ramp that evening in Sri Lankan labels at the poolside gala. The current holder of the Miss Universe China title 2013, Jin Ye too took the ramp.
The girls modelled a selection of resort and evening wear.
