Therapuththa NS Ambalanthota, thrash Malaththawala NS by 144 runs
Therapuththa National School Ambalantota thrashed Malaththawala National School Monaragala by 144 runs in the third round of the All-Island Schools Under-15 Division III Cricket Tournament. The match was played at the Malaththawala NS grounds.
Pramuka Dilshan who opened the innings for Therapuththa NS scored 103 runs off 106 balls with 18 boundaries and a six while skipper Lahiru Dilshan scored 109 off 102 balls with 15 boundaries and three sixes thus helping them to pile up a massive total of 339 for 7.
W.M. Shashika (4/58) and K.M.T. Lankinda (3/44) were the most successful bowlers. Malaththawala NS could only made 195 runs in reply. W.M. Shalika topped the scorecard with 51 while Lahiru Dinusanka, Dhanuka Kavishana and Lakmal Sudusinghe bowled well for the winners.
