Carlton club invitation 6-a-side softball cricket tournament 2014
View(s):Carlton Club Moratuwa established in 1923 will conduct their third “Carlton Club Invitation 6-A-Side Softball Cricket tournament 2014” on Sunday 23rd March 2014.
Winners will receive the “Shehan Perera Memorial Challenge Trophy” presented by the club in memory of their member who passed away last year.
Ten teams have been invited to participate at this event and the participants include Moratuwa Sports Club, Catamarans Sports Club, Sebastianites C & AC and Cambrian Cricket Wing. Several well known cricketers are expected to represent the teams.
The day’s proceedings will commence with an opening ceremony at 8.00 am and would conclude around 5.00 pm. It will be an entertaining day of cricket for everyone including families as it will be played in a carnival atmosphere. There will be DJ music, food and beverage stalls etc and the entrance will be free of charge.
