University of Peradeniya AGM
View(s):The Annual General meeting of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya will be held on Sunday, March 23 at 9.30 a.m, at the Chemistry Upper Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya.
Tissa Jayatailaka, an eminent alumnus of the University of Peradeniya (B.A. English Hons. 1974), will be the Chief Guest. Prof.Atula Senaratne, Vice Chancellor, University of Peradeniya, and Emeritus Professor Nimal Senanayake, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya will be Guests of Honour.
Mr. Jayatailaka has held many posts of distinction in Sri Lanka and overseas. He is the current Executive Director of the US – Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission. Mr. Jayatilaka is the co-Editor of many publications, including “Peradeniya: Memories of a University” which he co-edited with Prof. Kingsley de Silva. The AGM will be followed by lunch and fellowship at the Vice-Chancellor’s Residence, The Lodge, for AAUP members, guests and alumni of the University of Peradeniya.
