My grandad

View(s):

My granddad was Derrick,

He died when mum was small,
And so my mum’s uncle,
Brought them up as his own.
He had three kids of his own
But he brought up these three as well,
His guidance straight, pure and true,
Led us all up the path.
And that’s why we call him,
Our own granddad our own…
He lived his life full of smiles,
Happiness in his breath,
But at the age of 88
It was time to go…
T’was the morn of
12th November,
That God Almighty took him home,
Home to rest in Eternal Peace…
