I have many events to tell you about but I am going to tell you my most memorable one. It was my school swimming meet. Here’s how it all started. When the teachers’ announced it was the swimming meet, I was overwhelmed but also a bit scared. The teachers were already calling out what events we were going to do. I was surprised when they told me I was doing freestyle and backstroke. Last year I did only one which was boring old kickboard.

The day after was the swimming meet. I saw that a lot of people had come to watch the swimmers. I was so nervous, I was getting goose-bumps. Anyhow, I was all packed up, swimsuit on, ready to dive. The teachers were calling out each child do their turn. That meant the meet had started. When I was called out, I did it.
I came first in backstroke and last in freestyle but I did try!
