Three wheeler drivers widely accused of violating road rules are now adding to their disrepute with blatant disregard by causing willful inconvenience to both motorists as well as pedestrians. In many instances three-wheeler drivers inconsiderately park their vehicles, causing obstruction to motorists outside supermarkets, restaurants shopping outlets as well as to pedestrians by parking their vehicles on pavements.

“They block car parks and some do not even bother about other drivers,” said Ashan Silva, a customer at the supermarket in Colombo as he waited for the three-wheeler driver who had parked a three-wheeler right in front of his car.  ”The pavements are being refurbished and added to that nuisance are three-wheelers parked on pavements,” said disgruntled pedestrian,Manel Samara-singhe.
