Thomians take their first NSGB Tennis title

S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia won the Nationals Schools Games’ Boys Tennis championship for the first ever time beating St. Peter’s College at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo. According to official confirmation this was the first occasion S. Thomas’ qualified for a final in this competition which is over 20-years-old.

On their way to the final the Thomians beat traditional rivals Royal College in the semi-finals while beating Ananda College in the quarter-finals.

The Thomian tennis team is captained by Venuka Hulangamuwa with Avishka Perera as his deputy. The tournament was conducted by the Ministry of Sports.
