‘Amdon’ a wholesome humour on Sunday
View(s):‘Amdon’, a comedy tele serial directed by Christie Shelton Fernando is now being telecast at 7 pm on every Sunday on Swarnavahini channel.
Jagath Chamila, Koshila Madushani, Gihan Fernando, Duleeka Marapana, Sarath Kothalawala, Madhani Malwattage, Bandula Wijeweera and Sanath Karunaratne play in the 25-episode teledrama.
Amdon or Costa lives in an urban shanty and he does petty jobs to earn a living. He is faced with hilarious situations when he undertakes jobs that don’t suit him. His roommates Dayananda, Mendis and the shanty neighbours like Carolyn and Rosa Nona are ever ready to help him in any of his endevours.
All shanty dwellers focus their attention on a family occupied in a house close to their vicinity. Costa falls for the beauty of Kumari, the girl in that family and he tries to get the help of some shanty dwellers to befriend her. But all these attempts are failed.
Unable to escape from Costa’s attention, Kumari gets into a fake relationship with a businessman called Brungaraja. Heartbroken Costa joins his friends to break the affair between Kumari and Brungaraja.
