Conman gets bail for duping Rs 500,000 for school admission

A man who solicited Rs 500,000, from a Bambalapitiya resident, to get his son admitted to Royal College, Colombo, and later defrauded, was enlarged on Rs. 200,000 surety bail by Maligakanda Chief Magistrate L. Liyanaarachchi.
The suspect Nalin Chinthaka de Silva had been absconding with the money.
Police investigations revealed that the suspect had collected the money using brokers.
