A high-powered panel will discuss issues relating to “Public litigation, rights & obligations of ordinary Sri Lankan citizens” at this month’s meeting of the Sunday Times Business Club (STBC).

The session on Monday, June 17 at the Cinnamon Lakeside hotel will see panellists – Rosy Senanayake, MP, Chrishmal Warnasuriya, lawyer, and a third speaker to be confirmed – discuss a range of issues relating to the topic.

The issues expected to be discussed include: Are Sri Lankan men and women aware about their rights under the Constitution; Are they aware about the Fundamental Rights (FR) application process before the Supreme Court: If so, do they exercise their rights on a range of issues like consumer affairs, political rights, social rights or human rights through the FR process or otherwise?
The club is sponsored by Etisalat, hosted by Cinnamon Lakeside and supported by Hameedia.
