Brewing a perfect blend for 50 years
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on Maitland Crescent never seems empty. On their journey of serving the best to their customers with the dictum, “One Touch, One Perfect Cup” the American chain of coffee cafes, an international franchise network, celebrated its 50th anniversary worldwide, also launching a multitude of promotions and events for local customers.

The 50th anniversary Open House celebration was held on May 23 both at the flagship store at Maitland Crescent and the Colombo Fort Store in the World Trade Centre.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf also launched their single-serve beverage system that gives customers the satisfaction of preparing their favourite beverage, be it espresso, brewed coffee, brewed tea or the delicious specialty beverages by themselves. The promotional drinks launched included Chai Tea Latte, English Toffee Latte and English Toffee Ice Blended drink at a promotional price of Rs. 50 only per drink.
The management of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Sri Lanka were later seen joining hands to cut a celebratory cake as proud members of one family. Complimentary gift packs were also handed over to the customers present at the Open House Event.
Launched in 1963, Coffee Bean is the oldest and the largest privately held specialty coffee and tea retailer in the United States. With more than 900 stores globally they bring to life the spirit of the Southern Californian lifestyle.
