From Apple Inc to ‘every person to ever land on the moon’,  blog reveals countless all-male organizations that still exist

Every composer in New York City Ballet’s American Music Festival, every director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, every Apple Inc executive, and every person to land on the moon. These are just some of the all-male institutions and organisations highlighted in a new Tumblr called 100 Per Cent Men.

Where are all the women? A new Tumblr called 100 Per Cent Men highlights all-male institutions and organizations - from Burger King directors to every director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Using screenshots of countless boys club cabals, along with a short explanation each company, 100 Per Cent Men aims to shine a light on ‘corners of the world where women have yet to tread.’

The corporate images are ‘presented without comment’ – an effective matter-of-fact tone that the Tumblr’s creator, Lydia DePillis, hopes will emphasis the ‘egregious maleness’ of these organisations – including The New Republic, where Ms DePillis works.

The technology reporter, who told The Atlantic Wire that she started the blog while procrastinating on a Sunday afternoon, said she hopes to raise awareness of just how many Boys Clubs still exist – from Presidents of the United States to Burger King directors.
And hopefully, awareness will facilitate change.

‘The ideal outcome is that organisations which are completely full of men will think about why that is and think about what they can do,’ she explained. ‘What I hope doesn’t come out of this is people just putting one lady on their board and on their schedule just to avoid being blogged or Tumbl-d about.

However, whether women are willing to take such jobs, is debatable. One Jezebel commenter wrote: ‘For every man interviewed to take a job or promotion, how many women were also candidates? ‘Not much sense in fighting for equal footing, if there is not enough women ready for that position. And no, just giving the job to women because they’re women is wrong.’

One Atlantic Wire commenter agreed: ‘The presence of women on tech boards is likely to increase substantially over the next several years, as the current generation of female tech execs mature.  ‘But if you insist that contemporary tech boards add women now, to ameliorate their egregious homogenous ‘maleness’, then yes – you’re making a case for tokenism.’

And one posed the question: ‘At any point did you ask, would any woman WANT to be in this group?’
