SJMS triumphs at Inter-Auditors Quiz Finals
View(s):SJMS Associates emerged victorious claiming the overall winner’s award at the recently concluded grand finale of the CASS Quiz Competition – 2013, organised by the Chartered Accountants (CA) Students’ Society.
The final was held on 3rd April in, Colombo, during the CA Students’ Annual National Conference, a regular calendar event that sees the participation of all leading chartered accounting firms in Sri Lanka, according to a SJMS media release.
A total of 33 teams competed for this esteemed title, out of which,the top three contenders, SJMS, KPMG and EY, had to vie with one another for the best two to qualify for the finals. “Ultimately, EY was knocked out while KPMG and SJMS progressed to the finals where‘ SJMS – Brainstormers’ secured the championship award by beating KPMG with a formidable score of 60 points. KPMG claimed the runners up position with 40 points,” the release said.
The SJMS team was made up of Mohammed Ruzaick, GayanChinthaka, Amila Roshan and Chirath Tharanga. SJMS Associates is an independent correspondent firm to the global professional services firmDeloitte Touche Tohmatsu. The firm has been operating in Sri Lanka since 1975, providing services that assist the growth and competitiveness of businesses.
