Unilever Sri Lanka, SLIM launches ‘Professional Selling’ Diploma course

Unilever Sri Lanka in association with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) has launched a ‘Professional Selling’ Diploma course for sales representatives employed by the company’s distribution business partners and service providers who operate in all areas of the country.

The launch of this course also included the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Unilever Sri Lanka and the SLIM, according to a Unilever statement. Speaking on the occasion, Surith Perera, Customer Development Director Unilever Sri Lanka stated “Our front line, the sales force, has been a key to our success. Their dedication and hard work has helped Unilever get to where we are today. Through this initiative, we will develop their capability and talent to win in today’s competitive market place whilst helping them to grow both as individuals and as professionals.”

In 2013, 144 sales Representatives will participate in the 9-month diploma programme with the company investing in the skill development of these individuals.
