Vidyartha retained the William Gopallawa Shield when they drubbed arch rivals Ananda by 41-19 in their annual traditional rugby match played at Bogambara Stadium in Kandy. Vidyartha who led at half time by 17-14 scored from seven tries and three conversions while Ananda posted three tries and two conversions for their points.
