HNB shuttlers win Mercantile Singer Open C'ship

HNB shuttlers won the Overall Championship at the Mercantile Singer Open Badminton Championship 2011, held at S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia from October 5 to 9. More than 300 players representing 50 mercantile firms took part in this tournament.

The HNB shuttlers performed outstandingly well throughout the contest to achieve this position by collecting 44 points. HNB also won The Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Women's Doubles titles.This is the second occasion where a shuttler from HNB won three events straight.
