The Sixth Raigam Tele Awards Ceremony to promote Sri Lankan television creations will be held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) on the evening of May 7, 2010.
‘Raigam Tele Awards’ was inaugurated with the aim of appreciating the talents, creativities and contributions of tele-creators and institutions devoted to the progress of the tele – industry five years ago and continues to be a success.

Tele-dramas telecast in 2009 over television channels (excluding cable TV and paid channels) in Sri Lanka will be considered for awards and tele-dramas, telecast daily or weekly and not exceeding 100 episodes will be evaluated.
At present the panel of judges is busy viewing and scrutinizing the tele creations and this year too the awards ceremony will feature tele-drama episodes, dramas, dances and other special entertaining items.
Mega Tele-dramas, which created so much interest recently, will be considered only for the popular segment.
Selection of most popular tele-drama actor, actress and the tele-drama as well as mega tele-drama will be by viewers vote.
Voting will start on 01st April 2010. Spectators will be able to send their vote via SMS on telephone No. 0773-337337 up to 12 midnight on May 5, 2010. Participants who correctly name the winners will be presented with two tickets to enjoy the Awards Ceremony.
