3R continues its journey...

The Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association's 3R programme which promotes the practice of "Reduce, Recycle, Reuse" as a means of managing waste and caring for the environment, continued to make inroads as it expanded its reach across the island.

The Poson season saw the 3R programme being carried out in Anuradhapura, with multiple trainings conducted for students from 20 schools, Dhamma school teachers, pre-school teachers, and pilgrims
visiting Mihintale. Further trainings were carried out at Adam's Peak (Sripadaya) and Nuwara Eliya. 60 preschool teachers attended the latter training.

Our thanks to Sithara Ariyarathne (11 years) from St. Mary's Convent, Matara for writing in about her experience at camp which she describes as "an unforgettable incident in my life forever".

Thank you Sithara and may you enjoy many more camps!!!
