Built - Mech gets certified


The ISO certificate being presented

Built-Mech Services (Pvt) Ltd, an air-conditioning company, has been certified and awarded ISO 9001:2008 by SGS United Kingdom Ltd.

The company said it has also begun certifying its’ technicians under NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) awarded by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training Sri Lanka. The ISO certificate was handed over recently by the SGS country representative to Managing Director M. N. Nowfell while B. H. S. Suraweera, Deputy Director General – TVEC, awarded the NVQ certificates to the first batch of 10 technicians.

The company commenced its commercial activities in 1994 and during the last 15 years has made giant strides to be among the first few front line companies. It has been involved in installations at Central Bank, Apollo Hospital, Bentota Beach Hotel British School and Ceylinco House in Colombo among others.
