The Colombo School of Construction Technology (CSCT) is proud to announce that, their Higher National Diploma (HND) in Construction Management is the first diploma of its kind to be accredited by the Chartered Institute of Builders, UK (CIOB) in Sri Lanka.

CIOB UK has recognized the Colombo School of Construction Technology's (CSCT) Higher National Diploma in Construction Management by the accreditation of its course and placing CSCT on its list of recognized institutions for membership. What this means for students following an HND in Construction Management at CSCT is that on completion, they become eligible to gain membership of the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) as an Incorporated CIOB.

This was previously available only to those students who had completed a degree from a CIOB recognized University/ Institution. Now students at CSCT, registered for diploma in Construction Management, have the opportunity to obtain student membership of CIOB, and on completion of their Diploma apply for full membership.

The recognition of CIOB is testament to the high quality syllabus being taught at the CSCT campus. CIOB members are amongst the most highly regarded professionals working throughout the international construction industry. CIOB members are drawn from a wide range of professional disciplines working within building and construction supply chains. The membership includes clients, consultants and contractors as well as specialists in regulation, research and education. This provides a pool of specialist knowledge which informs the way in which the industry develops.

On the Accreditation of the HND in Construction Management of CSCT, by the CIOB UK, the International Ambassador for CIOB in Sri Lanka Dr. Keith G Skelton FCIOB FRICS in a congratulatory message has said:-

CSCT also runs short courses in areas such as AutoCAD, computer aided estimating and industry specific courses designed for practitioners. These courses are advertised on their website and the print media as and when available. If CSCT doesn't have the short course you want, organizations and groups have the opportunity to provide their specifications to CSCT and they will design a course tailor made to your requirements.
