Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Twilight
By Praveenya de Silva (12 years) Good Shepherd Convent, Panadura

The hot air gradually grows so cool,
The trees sway in a gentle dance,
As pinky hues cover the blue sky,
I watch in a wondering trance.

The world seems to glance in a strange silence,
And wonder fills the air.
The bright sky glows in vivid glory,
A beauty beyond compare.

The sky becomes a mass of colour,
Suddenly a gray curtain is drawn,
As gradually night brings together,
Difference is divided at dawn.
