ICTA's second quarterly newsletter out now

 

The Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) has come out with its second quarterly newsletter for the year.

A new feature in this year's newsletters is the English and ICT Catalyst Crossword Puzzle Competition conducted through the Catalyst. This coincides with the declaration of 2009 as the Year of English and ICT by President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Prizes are scheduled to be given to winners at the competition. The last date by which entries should be received by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka for the English and ICT Catalyst Crossword Puzzle Competition 2 (2009) is May 11, 2009 just after Vesak.

The entries could be submitted by ordinary mail or electronically by accessing the English and ICT Catalyst Crossword Puzzle Competition using website address www.icta.lk and clicking the "English and ICT Crossword Competition" tag that appears on the right side of the home page. The Catalyst is the English counterpart of the Sinhala 'Nenapata' and the Tamil 'Arivedu'. This year's second issue of both these two sister newsletters have also been simultaneously published.

Meanwhile the following are the first three winners at the English and ICT Catalyst Crossword Puzzle Competition 1 (2009). Their prizes will be made available to them in due course.
The winners are: Mr. U. S. Fernando of 82/9, W. A. Peiris Mawatha, Uyana, Moratuwa, Mr. W. S. Nugaduwa of 170, Kanatte Road, Thalapathpitiya, Nugegoda and Ms. Shermila Samararatne of 80/5, Botanical Gardens Road, Asgiriya, Gampaha.
