FM Derana launches today

TV Derana, which in just three years introduced a fresh perspective to Sri Lanka's television landscape, will launch its sibling radio station FM Derana at 8.30 tonight. This launch will be shown on TV Derana, as a simulcast, a first for Sri Lanka.

FM Derana will break away from the traditional FM mould, adopting instead a youthful, positive and upbeat attitude designed to delight and enthral listeners 24 hours a day.

The new entrant will broadcast a select blend of music and programming that delivers on the Derana promise 'Ape de rekagena, alutha de aragena'.

Employing state of the art technology, FM Derana will be broadcast islandwide from its very inception, on 94.5 in the West, 102.3 in the South, 99.2 in the Hills as well as 95.8 in Uva and 92.4 in the Wayamba and North Central part of Sri Lanka.
