Isham takes over the top slot

Zahira skipper Isham Ghouse has taken over the lead for the first time after the completion of coupon number ten of the BATA Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer contest.
This is also the first time that Angelo Perera has been pushed to the second slot. The end of count ten saw Isham receive a massive 3624 votes to finish on 10320 votes while Angelo received 1556 votes to end on 9241 votes which gives Isham a lead of 1079 votes.

There was only one change in the minor placing with Nishika de Silva of St Joseph’s replacing Dharmarajah’s Buwaneka Ekanayake who was third last week.

The outstation category saw Sri Sumangala’s Niwanka Abeyrathne holding on to the lead having received 188 votes finishing on 1506 as against 129 votes to Amith Tillekeratne of Sri Rahula Kandy.

In the International Schools category Aadhil Niyas of Gateway College has stretched his lead by over 1600 votes over his team mate and last year winner Malith Silva. Aadhil received 1220 votes to finish on 2458 while Malith accumulated only 144 votes. Coupon No 10
