SAARC art blends together in Rajasthan

Three Sri Lankan artists Jagath Ravindra, Anup Vega and Anoma Wijewardene attended the SAARC art camp in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on the invitation of the Indian government, enjoying an amazing cultural fest in the historic Indian city.

Twenty eight artists from the SAARC member countries were at the camp, living and working together in an atmosphere of warm conviviality, as Indian musicians, dancers, poets performed alongside.

Lectures and talks by leading art critics, writers and editors all made up for a ‘great learning experience’ as Anoma put it.

An exhibition of paintings from all SAARC capitals is now on at the National art Gallery and will continue till March 7.
