It was an evening of glamour and glitter at Galle Face hotel when some of the pioneer spirits in the fashion arena came together to present the Designer Wedding Show 2009.

Organised by one of the country’s leading wedding magazines - the Bride and Groom Magazine, the event captured the very essence of the work of top wedding designers who have carved a niche in the field such as Michael Wijesuriya, Ramani Fernando, Ramzi Rahaman, Poornima Abeyratne and Cheryl Goonerathne, Sitara and Kanthi Fernandopulle, Harris Wijeysinghe, Aslam Hussain, Darshi Keerthisena, Johann Peries, Ramani Arsecularathne and Romesh Attapattu.

Top models took the stage in their glittering bride and groom outfits done according to various themes that blended eastern and western styles.
