Angelo Perera leads Peterites victory with an unbeaten 155
It was double celebrations for St Peter’s after the conclusion of their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter against Maris Stella at Bambalapitiya yesterday which ended in an innings and 109 runs for the home team.

The first was the unbeaten knock of 155 by skipper Angelo Perera in just 103 balls that included 17 boundaries and four sixes which also saw him reach the 1000 run mark for the season.

The second celebration being the win for the Petes was their seventh for the season. Perera’s 1000 runs came from 15 innings inclusive of a not out with a double ton, two tons and four half tons with a best knock of 239 against Nalanda.

Royal record their seventh victory

Royal recorded their seventh outright win for the season with a crushing innings and 13 runs win over Dharmaraja in their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday.
Royal’s bowlers laid the foundation for an early victory after they had made a formidable 255 and bundled out the Rajans for just 64. The Rajans resuming their second innings with a deficit of 191 runs were able to muster only 178.

St Joseph’s skipper Shameera Weerasinghe with an all round performance steered his side to their third win helping them crush S. Thomas’ by an innings and 26 runs in the match concluded at Darley Road.
