Benji and Aquarius to rock the scene at Galadari

December is generally known as the festive month and one of the top priorities would be of course, entertainment. To enhance the festive mood, good music is a must. Benji and his band Aquarius have come forward to fulfill the need of the festive season at the Galadari Hotel.

Aquarius, who are in town after a hectic assignment in the Middle East, will come alive at the Galadari Hotel from December 1. They will be featured exclusively at the 'Margarita Blue', on Fridays and Saturdays, during the month of December.

The dawning of this super outfit happened 12 years ago. Thereafter, for almost 10 years they tackled the Middle East scene - with exhilarating performances in Dubai and Qatar. In Qatar, they were a huge draw card, packing the Qube discotheque with enthusiastic locals and expatriates, who found music of Aquarius irresistible.

The guys are now preparing themselves to recreate that very same highly-charged party mood, right here in Colombo. Aquarius will round up their stay at the Galadari with the hotel's traditional 31st night celebrations, at the ballroom.

The lead up to the dawning of 2009 will be dramatic, novel and exciting as Aquarius are making elaborate arrangements to do the New Year's Eve scene differently. With a repertoire, covering the sounds of the 80's to the present day hits, and two dynamic female vocalists from the Philippines for company, the stage is set for a memorable festive season at the Galadari Hotel.

They arrived in Colombo early September from Qatar where they heated up the scene at the Qube discotheque, Ramada Doha. Aquarius is made up of Benji (bass), Shiran (drums), Gavin (sax), Ray (keyboards), Danushka (guitar) and Bell and Dennise from the Philippines are the two frontline singers.
