Nihal continues his Calypso with wider audiences

Calypso group 'Nihal & the Clan' led by Nihal Perera who's now crossed the 30th boundary in his career of entertainment is back after a one year tour of performance in Hyderabad in India. The boys are now performing at a couple of tourist hotels Down South. He had been invited to perform on previous occasions in Germany, Doha-Qatar, Pakistan and India in popular tourist destinatioms, mainly because of his entertainment talent and singing style. Graciously Nihal & the Clan is willing to entertain all music lovers once again on this fun loving isle.

It is 15 long years since the origin of the Calypso group 'Nihal and the Clan' with the leadership of Nihal Perera and the enthusiasm of Jayaraj Peiris. It is another addition to the music unlimited erupting in the city of Moratuwa. Though few changes occurred in the line-up, the band has always stolen the hearts of music lovers being on the highest rung of the ladder of popularity in entertainment.

Being members of 'Moratuwa Arts Forum' they have performed at some of the 'Punsanda Paya' entertainment shows with their own Calypso styles. 'We play at lots of weddings, birthday parties, company functions. Annual trips of families and corporate clientele and many other fun-o-ramas hire our type of music quit often' said Nhal.

They have also been featured at many television and radio programmes during the past few years.
'Nihal & the Clan' comprises Nihal, Jayaraj Peiris (vocalist), Samantha Fernando (vocalist and guitar) and Pala (Congo)
