Veteran broadcaster Palitha Perera unveils his experiences

Over the past forty five years veteran broadcaster Palitha Perera has enlightened, entertained and educated Sri Lankan sports fans specially cricket enthusiasts as a pioneer Sinhala cricket commentator and now he is ready to launch his first book unfolding his over four decades of experience in broadcasting on chapter by chapter basis. “Palitha Perera smaga sajeewa lesin” live with Palitha Perera was the first book written by him during his long career in Radio and Television field where Palitha hopes to bat till he scores a sparkling half a century .

It is published as a Surasa book by Prem Dissanayake’s Fast Ads Publishers .The book launching ceremony will be held at Sirimavo Bandaranaike Exhibition and Convention Centre at BMICH in Colombo on September 20th to coincide with the opening of the International book fair.

“Palitha Perera smaga sajeewa lesin contains Palitha’s Articles published in various news papers and magazines as well as Radio and Television scripts of his interviews and feature programmes. He reveals socio- political impact after the publishing of these articles and Radio and Television programmes in his book. The cover story of Kalpana magazine on the rebel tour of Sri Lankan cricketers led by Bandula Warnapura which prompted the CID to question him at the fourth flour, the true history of Sinhala cricket commentary and his experiences are among the many interesting .articles in Palitha’s book.
