Dhammika's debut in the silver screen

‘Suwanda Denunu Jeewithe’, the maiden directorial venture of tele drama producer, director and scriptwriter Dhammika Siriwardana in cinema starts its filming in August 6.

A sixty days long shooting around the country including Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Bandarawela, Welimada and Colombo will create a love story in which Indian actress Pooja Umashanker and Roshan Ranawana play in the lead roles. Others in the stellar cast include Sanath Gunathilaka, Maureen Charuni, Ramani Siriwardana, Rex Kodippily, Gayathri Dias, Richard Manamudali, Pubudu Chathuranga, Himali Siriwardana, Raja Ganeshan, Sandali Welikanna and Shanudri Priyasad.

Jayanath Gunawardana is the cinematographer, Lal Harendranath the art direction, Indika Udara Lanka the make up artistes and Shan Perera handles the choreography in the technical department. THe film includes five playback songs penned by Nilar N. Cassim, Kelum Srimal and Nandana Wickramage to which music is set by Rohana Weerasinghe, Bathiya-Santhush, Mahesh Denipitiya and Sachith Peiris and they are sung by Uresha Ravihari, Shihan Mihiranga, Bhathiya Jayakody, Umara Sinhawansa, Shirazs and Irosha.

Produced is Basuru Siriwardana and 'Suwanda Denunu Jeewithe' is assisted in direction by Donald Jayantha.
