‘De Taali’ : A treat for friends

'De Taali', a Bollywood movie tale around three childhood friends who have grown together and the changes that take place with the entrance of a fourth, is now being screened at Regal cinema Colombo.
Directed by Eshwar Niwas the film stars Aftab Shivdasani, Ritesh Deshmukh, Ayesha Takia, and Rimi Sen in the lead roles of four friends and the film is produced by Ravi Walia.

With tagline 'Fall in love with friendship', the movie, a comedy romance welcomes to a world where life is defined by friendship and friendship is defined by love. Paglu (Ritesh Deshmukh ), Abhi (Aftab Shivdasani ) and Amu (Ayesha Takia ) are a bunch of slaphappy friends who banter about everything from love, life and sex to marriage. Abhi is a sort of a despo, falling in 'love' with any and every girl (be her a kleptomaniac or a witch) who is attractive and then nursing a broken heart after she walks out on him. In this jamboree of three friends, love sprouts in Amu's heart. It is love for Abhi. But she doesn't realize it until Paglu makes her see it.

Before Amu can express her love, a drop-dead-gorgeous Kartika (Rimi Sen ) enters and sweeps Abhi off his feet. But Kartika is a gold-digger and a smooth operator at that. She has one eye firmly focused on Abhi's wealth.

As Paglu and Amu try to spoil Kartika's plans, the movie goes into expected drama - kidnapping, a bunch of rejected lovers, and a twist in the tale. The others in the cast are, Saurabh Shukla, Pawan Malhotra, Satish Shah, Anupam Kher and Mukul Dev. Internationally released in June 20, 'De Taali' was imported by G. K. R. Creations, a latest film importing and co-production company in India.

'De Taali' released for a limited engagement will be shown till July 20 and it will be followed by Sirimal Wijesinghe maiden direction 'Pitasakwala Kumarayai Pancho Hathai'.
