SAARC Film Fest in Colombo

'SAARC Film Festival' in collaboration with 15th SAARC Summit organized by National Film Corporation, Cultural Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be held from July 18 to 23 in Colombo.

The festival with films from South Asian countries, Bangaladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be screened free of charge at Ricky Cinema, Fort daily at 2.30 pm and 6.30 pm. The festival will kick off with a Sri Lankan film, Somarathne Dissanayake's 'Siri Raja Siri' on July 18 at 6 pm at Liberty Cinema Colombo.

On July 19 Bangladesh films 'Ghani' and 'Nirontor' will be screened at 2.30 and 6.30 pm at Ricky Cinema and they will be followed by 'Mitr My Friend' and 'Baranas a Mystic love story' from India on July 20, 'Lal Sanam' on July 21 at 2.30 pm and 6.30 pm, 'Khuda Kay Liye' and 'Koi Tuja Sa Kahan' from Pakistan and 'Yahaluwo' (Friends) and 'Nisala Gira' from Sri Lanka on July 23.
