Detectives 
                          from Britain’s Scotland Yard may not arrive in 
                          Sri Lanka after all to assist in investigations into 
                          the murder of Tamil National Alliance parliamentarian 
                          Nadarajah Raviraj. 

The foundation stone has been laid with much fanfare and plans are underway to establish Sri Lanka’s second international airport at Weerawila, about 10 km from the town of Hambantota in the south.
Peradeniya town, a landmark in the hill country and a take-a-break spot on the Colombo-Kandy Road is to be relocated in Iriyagama.
