Cliff kicks off his new tour from UK

Cliff Richard, who is billed to perform in Colombo on February 23, 2007 at the Exhibition and Convention Centre, will release his latest album 'Two's Company' early next month. (That’s our cover this week)

'Two's Company' comprises 14 songs -Move it with Brian Bennett and Brian May of Queen fame, Any One Who Had a Heart- with Dionne Warwick, Miss You Nights -with G$, Yesterday Once More- with Daniel O'Donnell, She Means Nothing to Me- with Phil Everly, All I Ask Of You-with Sarah Brightman, Let There be Love - with Matt Monro, Throw Down a Line- Hank Marvin, Fields of Gold- with Barry Gibb, Up Where We Belong- with Ann Murray, Slow Rivers - with Elton John, Suddenly- with Olivia Newton John, Canny Boy - with Helmut Lotti and Reunited - with Lulu. He will come alive promoting his new album in Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin before he embark on Asian tour in early January next year.

Cliff was featured at the Wembley Arena in England from November 4 to 9 as apart of his 'Here & Now' national arena tour. The audience at Wembley Arena on 8 November had a big surprise when, after the end of the show, Cliff returned to the stage - along with Brian Bennett and Brian May of Queen fame to perform his new version of song 'Move It' which was being filmed for the promotional video.

A clip of the new version of 'Move It' (with Brian May and Brian Bennett) is now available in UK for his fans. The full track, together with '21st Century Christmas', a new Christmas song, will be released as a single in early December. There will be three formats - a CD single, a digital download, and a 7" single - each containing both tracks.

Cliff was honoured at Wembley Arena by the presentation of an award as the venue's best-selling artiste, and also by a bronze handprint in their 'Square of Fame'.

On 6 November, Cliff's duet with Daniel O'Donnell 'Yesterday Once More' was released as a digital download single. (Digital downloads don't count towards the charts, by the way)

BBC Radio 2's 3-part documentary about Cliff - titled 'Cliff - Take Another Look' - will be broadcast on 13, 20 and 27 December at 2.03 am local time.

Cliff Richard in Concert will come alive in Dubai in late January followed by Hong Kong on February 5, in Bangkok on February 7, in Kuala Lumpur on February 10, Singapore on February 11, in Manila on February 13, Yokohama in Japan on February 18 and Feruary 23 in Colombo.

He will be in Colombo for five days and is planning to go to Kandy too. Sir Cliff will leave Colombo for a series of concerts in South Africa starting from 3 March. Tickets are ranging from Rs. 3500/- to Rs. 10,000/-.

The tickets will go on sales from December 10 to 15 and the box plan will be at Trans Asia from 10..am to 8.00pm. Cliff in Concert in Colombo is a presentation of Gold FM in collaboration with DK Promotions. Media partners are Sunday Times and Daily Mirror.
