The Sri Lankan national cricketers are on course for yet another major storm ahead when the annual Festival of Cricket (FOC) is held in England on May 27.
Seven World Cup players are due to play in this one day tournament - in their private capacity - but the Festival itself is in total confusion with seven Jaffna schools which have participated all these years planning a breakaway festival on the same day.
Ex-cricketers from most Sri Lankan schools participate in this Festival which is a big draw among the Sri Lankans in England. An International friendly is also played where several national cricketers are invited to participate.
The breakaway by the Jaffna schools comes after last year's tournament where several of them had refused to have the national flag at the Festival.
