Way of the cross marked in Wattala

Devotees from the Wattala – Wallapalliya Parish participated in a barefoot procession carrying a large cross, commemorating Jesus Christ’s suffering, despite the intense heat.
The procession, over 3km long, started at Dikowita St Anthony’s Church and ended at Palliyawatta St Carmel Church.
Don Bosco Salesian priests, including Provincial Superior, Very Rev Fr Roshan Miranda and Parish Priest of Wallapalliya, Rev Fr Nuwan Tharaka, led meditations during the procession.
