View(s):The momentum behind ‘Waves of Hope’, the charity concert on Sunday, February 8 organised by the Western Musicians Association (WMA) in collaboration with Rotary District 3220, continues to build as the event rapidly approaches a full house. The concert is being held in aid of communities and families affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
The event brings together some of Sri Lanka’s leading musicians, led by the band Misty, with performances by stars such as Chitral, Dalreen, Rukshan, Dina and Sohan. The comperes will be Clifford and Lulu. All artists have volunteered their time and talent entirely free of charge, a powerful gesture that reflects the spirit of unity and national responsibility behind this initiative. At the time of writing, only four tables out of the original 50 remain available, underscoring the overwhelming public response and strong support for this national cause.
Tickets are priced at Rs. 10,000 inclusive of a set menu dinner, with a BYOB policy, and all proceeds will be directed towards relief and recovery efforts for families and education impacted by Cyclone Ditwah.‘Waves of Hope’ takes place on February 8 at 7 p.m at the Hotel Galadari Ballroom,
