Following the success of cinematic ventures such as ‘Sikuru Hathe’, ‘5 Samath’ and ‘Kasi Wasi’, leading film Production Company Imperial Talkies is set to present its newest film, ‘Hello Soffie’.

The film marks the cinema directorial debut of Joe Dissanayake and introduces Didula Induwara as a screenwriter with his first script written for cinema.

‘Hello Soffie’ features a blend of seasoned performers and emerging talent, with Kaushalya Fernando and Shyam Fernando leading the cast. They are joined by a group of young and upcoming artistes including Dushen Miyurangi, Didula Induwara, Mayura Kanchana Perera, Nadun Dissanayake and child actor Trinity Claira.

Speaking on the latest production, Anuradha B. Rekawa, proprietor of Imperial Talkies, said that a number of fresh faces have been introduced in both the cast and the production team.

‘We have brought in new blood for ‘Hello Soffie’, including a fresh director and a young scriptwriter’ he said.

A comedy with suspense-filled elements, ‘Hello Soffie’ revolves around a young man who, after a late-night argument with his girlfriend over the phone, leaves his boarding house. The film is cinematographed by Pupitha Nirmal with Chamara Selara serving as assistant director. Tharindu Nisal handles art direction, Madara Godage is in charge of make-up and Wasanthi Darshani Alwis is responsible for costume design. Akila Shamendra oversees editing and colour grading, while Aruna Priyantha Kaluarachchi handles sound mixing. The production manager is Dhammika Gunasena, and the musical score is composed by Billie Sameera.

Hello Soffie is jointly produced by Anuradha B. Rekawa, Susil Jayasekara, and Sri Lala Wickremage.
