Billy and Devashrie bring Christmas magic
View(s):‘A Classic Christmas 2025’ – a passion project of Billy Fernando & Devashrie wrapped up on a sweet note on December 21, treating the audience at the Musaeus College auditorium to a magical Christmas journey visually, dramatically and musically.
Fusing musical theatre with showbiz entertainment, the show turned the spotlight on the talented musicians and other artistes as well whilst weaving the magic of storytelling with elements of drama and visual effects.
The show also featured the senior choir of Methodist College, the junior choir of Gateway College, the all-girl ensemble MAAYA, Young Actors and the De Silva family and the popular 2FORTY2.
While Billy and Devashrie touched hearts and moved the audience with their vocal prowess and heartfelt performances, the musicians for the evening – Milan John on piano, Nifal Ibrahim on guitar, Shivy on bass guitar and Daniel Prins on drums carried the show with their versatile talent.
That all profits of the show were to be channelled to those affected by the floods added meaning to this night of magic.
The vision was highly evident. We will surely be awaiting their next edition next Christmas.
