Worship musical, ‘Like a River Glorious’ St. Francis of Assisi, Mount Lavinia
View(s):The Choir of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, Mount Lavinia, celebrates decades of heartfelt service in worship through music. This year’s worship musical, ‘Like a River Glorious’, on Saturday, November 1 at 5 p.m. at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, No. 80 Hotel Road, Mount Lavinia, draws inspiration from Isaiah 26:3 and other biblical passages that speak of peace, renewal, and the life-giving presence of God.
The river, a central symbol in the musical, represents spiritual vitality and the flow of divine grace.
The performance features a blend of timeless hymns and contemporary worship songs, including All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, Goodness of God, Holy Holy Holy, It Is Well With My Soul, and Blessed Assurance. Interwoven with worship narrations, the musical offers moments of reflection, praise and spiritual renewal.
