Organised in partnership with Sri Lanka Tourism, this first-of-its-kind international dance festival sets out to brand Sri Lanka as Asia’s new destination for dance tourism. Featuring 75 international artistes, DJs and influencers and more than 500 dancers from around the world, the three-day celebration will blend over 12 dance genres from Latin and contemporary to modern, swing and hip hop, folk and tango into a spectacular showcase of energy, artistry and culture.
Following the main event, a three day curated travel adventure from November 3rd to 5th will invite participants to experience Sri Lanka’s beaches, heritage sites, safaris and surf destinations, blending movement, exploration and culture into one immersive journey.
‘Paraíso SBKZ’ highlights Sri Lanka’s unique identity as an island of rhythm and culture, where dance, travel and hospitality unite to create a world-class experience for both local and international guests.
Adding a local heartbeat to the global celebration, the festival will also spotlight homegrown talent through the National Dance Competition, which will bring together 100 dance schools from across Sri Lanka under the Sri Lanka Dance Challenge 2025. The initiative forms a key part of the festival’s mission to uplift and empower local artistes, bridging Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage with the rhythm of the world stage.
The finalists will share the grand stage with international champions, while the top three winning teams will each receive Rs. 50,000/- in cash prizes and full festival access, providing young Sri Lankan dancers a platform for global recognition and exposure.
