‘Amal Biso’ brings a powerful Children’s Day message

A special Children’s Day programme featuring the interactive puppet performance ‘Amal Biso’ was held at Swarnamali Girls’ College, Kandy recently. The event brought together students from over ten leading schools in the region for a day of learning, creativity, and awareness. This Children’s Day programme was organised by Power of Play (Pvt) Ltd; in collaboration with Cinnamon Citadel and Kandy Myst by Cinnamon.
The ‘Amal Biso’ performance, conceptualised and delivered by Power of Play (Pvt) Ltd, used the art of puppetry to explore sensitive but vital topics on child protection, safety and self-awareness, in an age-appropriate manner. Through engaging storytelling and vivid visuals, the session guided children to understand the importance of consent and to distinguish between ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’, empowering them with the confidence to safeguard their physical and emotional well-being.
