Huntr/X and Sabrina Carpenter Battle for UK Chart Supremacy

The week’s anticipated clash for the supreme position on the UK singles chart was between Huntr/X’s ‘Golden’ and several of Sabrina Carpenter’s songs. Eventually, the former prevailed, holding the No.1 spot for a fifth week. Dominating the singles chart nevertheless, this week Sabrina Carpenter had three songs secure prime spots, including the highest new entry of the week. ‘Tears’, the track officially the second single from her latest album ‘Man’s Best Friend’, became the highest debuting song at No.3. The catchy radio-friendly pop disco track is co-produced by the singer and John Ryan. The first release, ‘Manchild’ and a former No.1 returned to the top 10, rising from 26 to No.4. At the same time ‘My Man On Willpower’, another track from the new album, debuted at No.7. Sabrina Carpenter’s new album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ debuted at No.1 on the UK albums chart this week.


 

Post Malone Reschedules London Concerts After Tube Strike


Post Malone was forced to postpone his two concerts at Tottenham Stadium in London on 7th and 8th September after the London Underground Railway workers decided to go on strike from 7th to 12th September. Regulations did not permit the holding of a concert without adequate public transport. The rapper and singer has now rescheduled his shows for 20th and 21st September.


 

Justin Bieber Drops Surprise Second Album ‘SWAG II’

Justin Bieber took fans by surprise with the release of a second album this year. Two months after the release of ‘SWAG’, the 31 year old announced on social media and billboards on 4th September that his new album was to be released. ‘SWAG II’, which began streaming on 5th September, contains 44 songs and features collaborations with Tems, Hurricane Chris, Lil B, Eddie Benjamin, Gunna, Sexxy Red, Druski, and a few others.


 

Boyzone Hints at Possible 2026 Reunion

Boyzone, the popular Irish band of the 90s, may try to reunite next year. Ronan Keating, who fronted the band, told the Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 that the response to the four-part documentary released last February had been positive. Further added that he has been talking to the former band members recently and that 2026 might be the year of a reunion. Boyzone had six No.1 songs and five No.1 albums in the UK. They last toured in 2019.
