Walk for Multiple Sclerosis on Aug 16

View(s):

The ‘Walk for Multiple Sclerosis’ by the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Lanka will be held next Saturday, August 16 at 10 am.

It will set off from Viharamahadevi Park (Dharmapala Mawatha entrance) and wind its way to Baptist Church Hall (de Soysa circus).

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic neurological disorder.

It is an autoimmune disorder in which a person’s immune system, which normally protects him/her from viruses, bacteria and other threats, mistakenly attacks healthy cells.

The symptoms of this disorder usually begin in young adults between the ages of 20 and 40.

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of Lanka invites people to join them on the walk to support and become aware of those living with this disorder.
